The Fearless Face Stencil System Expands To Include Shoulders, Arms, And Hands
      February 22, 2017

In November 2016 The Fearless Face Stencil System debuted with faces in three sizes, two shapes, and with six options for facial features.  Add in hair, hats, and other accessories, and you have a system that makes achieving those lovely ethereal faces we all so admire.

Margaret Applin designed the stencils to make success easy to achieve, even for a beginner who had no experience drawing or sketching faces.  The face shapes and the features are perfectly proportioned and laid out, making the system pretty fool-proof.  All of finer points of creating faces have been taken into account so you can have fun creating without any angst and gnashing of teeth!  In addition to the video I filmed, Margaret created a pdf document we made available for download that provided hard copy drawings and instructions for working with the stencils.

Click HERE to download a copy of that document.

Today is the day we’ve both been anticipating, where we are able to share the newest additions to the Fearless Face Stencil System: shoulders, arms, and hands, plus just in time for Mardi Gras, headpieces and masks.  Oh, and wings!  Five styles of them.

With the shoulders, arms, and hands you now have the ability to create characters from the waist up, bringing them to life in all wonderful kinds of ways with expressive movement and even a little attitude!  In the video I’ll discuss that a bit, giving you ideas and suggestions for adding movement and expression to your face and torso drawings.

Margaret has created two additional pdf documents; one that explains how to use the shoulders, arms, and hands and another describing how to work with the headpieces.  Those are the two topics I’m covering in today’s video. Masks and wings will come at a later time, though you can forge ahead and do your own thing – of course!

Are these proportioned for use with the largest size face stencil?

Yes. There is a complete set of designs for each of the sizes. Some are combined on a single stencil and others are spread over one or more, but there is one of everything for each of the three sizes of heads.
