Our newest MidWeek Muse video veers off into a slightly different direction this week. Rather than Fine Line Applicators, Deco Mache papers, or Alcohol Ink on Yupo, today’s takes a finished product and transforms it. The functionality is the same, but the look of the product changes dramatically.
What in the heck am I talking about??
I’ll answer the question with another one. What if you could transform a worn cover journal, made to look aged, into a journal that doesn’t look aged? That in fact looks little like it did when we began?
That’s what I’m doing in the video: transforming one of Tim Holtz’s large Worn Cover with a horizontal orientation from worn to “wow”.
How do we get to wow? Using one of Sandra Everton’s Relics & Artifacts pieces along with Texture Paste (applied just so) to make it appear that the heart, wings, and flame are emerging from a plaster wall.
Have I piqued your curiosity? Excellent! I really like the project and am hoping that you do too and will try your hand at creating one.
