It’s Wednesday and time for our newest MidWeek Muse video. In this one I’m demoing Tsukineko’s Memento Luxe ink pads, explaining the properties of this pigment based ink and running it through its paces.
Because Luxe is a pigment ink it offers you the opportunity to do some things that you can’t with most dye based inks. The best part is that the ink is suitable for use on a wide range of porous surfaces, including fabric. Heat setting of the ink on fabric makes it permanent and wash fast – a quality we often seek as mixed media artists. I did a little testing and based on my limited sample I did find that the inks withstood being immersed in water. Fabulous!
