Students in my Deli Paper class held in Rhode Island in October may remember this piece; I was working on it toward the end of the second day. The dark colored bit you see right at the bottom was borrowed from Betsy. Thanks Betsy!
I’m always amazed at how divergent the results are when students use the same techniques and mostly the same supplies, creating bits that really do reflect their personal color choices. And how differently they apply techniques, resulting in work that’s uniquely their own.
Back to the photo… this piece will be featured in a video that I expect to debut toward the end of this month. You’ll see the whole thing at that time and can follow along as I show you how to achieve similar results. (Two words: deli paper.)
