What do you get when you mix Index Cards, Masking Tape, and some awesome page background techniques?
Today’s MidWeek Muse video where I explore creating a Tape Bound Index Card Journal that features our new Black Index Cards.
Along the way I’ll demo a couple of cool background techniques that take advantage of how special that black paper is.
Alcohol Pearls on it? Hard as it might be to believe, yes!
Wait till you see how the new Distress Oxide Sprays look on that paper. The spray patterns are pretty fabulous.
Putting it all together with Art Alternatives Masking Tape is really simple and I’ll demo that too. Creating this journal is super easy, a lot fun, and really gratifying since you built it from the ground up.
Supplies For This Video:
Joggles Index Cards: black and watercolor versions
Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Sprays
Art Alternatives 2″ Masking Tape
Art By Marlene Die Cut Blocks, Collage Paper, and more
Dina Wakley Collage Collective
Pentel Gel Pens. I love and used the Sparkle Pop ones, but any will work.

Thanks for these great ideas, Barb!
Awesome on the black cardstock…
However, sure wish you would give some thought to developing a paper in a soft grey to compliment the white and black collection .
What a wonderful use of alcohol pearls … love the patterning.
Thanks, Dolores
