Today I’m working with Finnabair’s Icing Paste that’s gel-like in consistency and is really shimmery because it’s filled with mica.

As I was playing in preparation for today’s video, the most exciting thing I discovered was that it works really well on a Gel Press Plate.  Anything you can do with regular acrylic paint on a plate you can do with Icing Paste, but what makes the process even more interesting is that the Paste is quite sheer when it’s brayered on.  The color is there, as is the shimmer, but it’s not opaque so the layers add color, pattern, and shimmer, but don’t obliterate what’s already there.
