Who doesn’t like the idea of finding new uses for the tools we already own? Given the number of stencils in my studio – and I’m guessing you’re like me – that you probably own a fair number too, discovering another option for using them is pretty exciting.
Like a lot of the things I happen upon, this one resulted from me not putting the supplies for one project away before beginning on the next. Stuff piled up and I ended up with the paper I was using to brayer excess paint off on sitting on top of a stencil. When I rolled the brayer on the paper I realized that I was seeing a faint impression of the stencil appear, almost magically.
I further discovered that the thinner the paper the better the impression, so out came my deli paper. It doesn’t get much thinner than that and the prints were even better. You’ll see me demo exclusively on it because it provides the best results. And because when applied to a surface with gel medium it becomes so translucent that areas without color pretty much disappear.
Since stencils are the focus product for this video I decided to put our three (9″ x 12″, 6″ x 9″, and Itty Bitty) styles on sale. From now until Friday November 17, 2017 they’re discounted by 30%. The website will automatically apply the reduction, so you don’t actually need to do anything other than choose ones you like!
And… our current freebie promotion is for DecoArt Metallic and Glitter Paint. One free bottle for each $15 you spend, excluding Gift Certificates. This is an unlimited promotion and with more than 40 colors to choose from, it’s unlikely we’d need to send duplicate colors.

Great video! Thanks Barb.
Hey, I just read the rest of your email and though I haven’t gotten my Blockwallah stamps yet, I’m thinking they too could be used as rubbing plates for ATC sized projects. Will have to try!
Great ideas, Barb. Thanks for sharing.
