Welcome to Wednesday, already the 15th of October. If you can believe it, there’s just a smidge more than two weeks till Halloween. I swear the later in the year it gets, the faster the time flies by.
With Halloween in mind, today’s MidWeek Muse video is all about transforming plain glass jars into spooktacular decorations. The best thing about them aside from how fabulously Halloween-y they are? They don’t take a lot of time at all to create. Take a glass jar, some Black Soot Distress Paint, add in themed papers and Ideaology components, and before you know it you’ve got a finished project. Or four. I ended up creating several versions as I filmed the video.
The project has a mystery ingredient too – Ranger’s Texture Paste. You’ll see me use it to create interesting areas of dimension, which I’ll add some bling to by using Prima’s Glass Glitter. Unlike regular glitter, glass glitter is not iridescent and super sparkly. It has more of a subdued, vintage look that I think is perfect for the jars.
