Alcohol Inks are one of my favorite kinds of media to play with. Shimmer is one of my major “loves”, as in I love anything shimmery. Today’s video combines them both in an interesting way to create ethereal, lovely abstract alcohol ink paintings.
The techniques are easy and the results are really, really pretty!
Supplies For This Video:
Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink – open stock
Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink – multi packs
Joggles Fineline Applicator Bottles – the 25 gauge is good for plain alcohol. For an alcohol/metallic mix, the 24 gauge is a little better

Is 91% alcohol important to the process? Or any percentage as long as it’s at least 91% ? (I have much higher.) Thanks, Barbara.
No, it’s not. It’s best if you use at least that percentage as the 70% has too much water in it
