I was away at Creativation a few weeks ago when the new 6″ x 6″ stencils debuted and never even got my hands on them till shortly afterward. With some play and experimentation time under my belt, in today’s video I’ll demo 6 techniques using 6 different types of media on those 6 new 6″ x 6″ stencils.
Naturally, any of what you see me do on the 6″ x 6″ ones is transferable to all sizes and styles of stencils. Proving the point that there aren’t many tools as versatile as they are!

This is inspirational again! I love using stencils, they are so versatile. Sometimes I even like it when the application is not perfect.
The best part of this video for me was when you talked about rewetting Inka gold, though. I have several pots that have dried out some and I was wondering what to do about it. So, do you spray water on the product? How much? Do you mix it in later?
a video or post on rescuing product could be useful…
So Glad to see you off the road and playing again.
Hi Ellie,
When I’m moistening a jar of Inka Gold that’s gotten a little dry, I usually mist it with 4 to 5 good spritzes of water.
If the jar is completely dried out, I add enough water to cover the lump of the product and a tiny bit over that. Leave it overnight and see what it looks like in the morning. If there’s water left, and if the product is now soft enough, you can just discard what’s left in the jar. If not, leave it a while longer. You;ll likely need to play a bit till you get to the point where the product is usable again.
You can try stirring it once it’s soft again, though I mostly don’t.

Thank you! I will try this STAT. I love my Inka gold…
Love stencils and how versatile thay are. But I have to agree with the other commenter regarding rewetting Inca Gold. Many of mine are dried out but hating to throw out what I paid a bit for I’ve been waiting to hear how to reconstitute them and not wreck them. Thanks for your solution by just adding water. Who wudda thought ?
Hi Dottie,
My technique is noted above, in reply to Ellie. Water generally does the trick!
