Today’s video explores what I think of as magical mixes; a combination of paints that are quite different from one another but make magic when combined.
The paints featured are Finnabair’s Art Alchemy Metallique and Sparks colors along with Prima’s ReDesign Chalk Paste. You get the glimmer, sparkles, and shine from the Art Alchemy and the very flat, matte finish of Chalk Paste. Together they really are magical, with lots of contrast which makes for interesting prints on a Gel Press Plate as well as backgrounds you can create just by pressing paper into the leftover paint on your work surface.
Beginning today we’re offering 20% off both styles of paint. It’s always nice to save on those products you want to experiment and play with!

Great tute, as always! This has generated some ideas for using this for my polymer clay veneers work. I already used some of the matte chalk paint on your wonderful wooden plinths and added polymer clay pieces as well. Went through the curing process without a hitch and looks great! Thanks again for your wonderful products, fast shipping and terrific customer service! You are the best!
Absolutely cool, I’ve always loved to pair matte and shiny. Great video, thanks Barb!
Hi Barb! Thank you for the chalk paste demonstration. I’m looking forward to renewing my joy using rubber stamps and stencils. The next generation in our family is now enjoying toddler art classes. I can’t wait to share these new techniques with them. May your spirit continue to be inspired. From the depths of my soul, I thank you!
