New products are always fun. What can also be just as enjoyable is when an existing one is repackaged to foster different ways of working with it.
Lindy’s Stamp Gang’s Magicals are one such example. Previously they were packed in little pots and were sold in sets of 5 or 6 coordinated colors. Lindy’s has added a new packaging option that’s a tall, slender bottle with a shaker style top, kind of like the one on a spice bottle. Lift the cap to expose the shaker top, shake out the powder, and off you go!
The 10 colors are available as open stock, so if there’s one you use often you can buy more of just that one.
Magical Shakers can be used on wet or dry surfaces, but it’s the liquid that caused the color to bloom. It really doesn’t matter whether you add powder first or shake them on a wet surface – either will produce marvelous patterns and color. They have a hint of shimmer too, which makes them even prettier.
Cards, art journal pages, scrapbook layouts… all of that and more are just waiting for you to add Magicals.

On the birds at the end, you already had some color around the shape, looks like done with a pen … how and why had you done that? Because the color looks so much like the powder, I wonder if the pens are also available 🙂

The outer lines you see were done with Dina Wakley’s 1 ounce bottles of Media Paint. There is a built in needle tip that allows for scribbling, writing, and outlining. That’s next Wednesday’s video!

While I have your attention, I want to make an order to be delivered at a different address (this time in the States). I already have an account with my Canadian address. Do I need to do something special – because I do not want to change my address permanently – jus for this one time 🙂
When you are checking out and are on the shipping page you will see the option to add a different shipping address.
It will exist in your address book afterwards, but does not affect the main (default) address that’s associated with your account. The default one is what all orders will be set to ship to automatically. If you ever want to ship to this new address again you would just choose it at the time.

Can this product be used on fabric such as lace?
Yes, but you should wash all of the sizing out before you apply it and the water. You’ll likely lose all of the shimmer, but the color will be there. It cant be made permanent, so you’ll be unable to launder the lace or get it wet again afterward.
