Today’s video is all about Julie Nutting’s fabulous Etched Wood Ornaments. They’re sold as kits which include 3 wood elements; the wings and the actual ornament, plus a ribbon hanger, tassel, and jump ring to attach the tassel with. They’re super easy to work with since the wood is already smooth and requires no sanding and all the parts needed to complete one are in the package.
You add a little gesso, some paint, glitter, and some other embellishments to create a lovely holiday ornament. Or change the colors for an everyday theme that’s not holiday specific. Here’s the nice thing… for those who may be face-phobic there are no worries about adding facial features. You’ll see that I didn’t add any to mine. All I do is blush the cheeks with a tiny bit of color. No eyes, nose, mouth. No eyebrows either!
The best part? They look fantastic without facial features! Trust me, you can do this. :+)
