Today’s video features a project that has been in the works for months and has been tormenting my muse for even longer.
The house. It’s a shape I really enjoy working with. Home is where good things happen; where you’re loved, celebrate life’s milestones, and where you’re warm and safe.
You’ve seen houses appear often in our products. First with the Wonky Houses and More Wonky Houses Skinny Minny Masks, then with Wonky Houses 1 to 4 in the stamp line.
With all that said, you’ll understand why I’m especially excited to announce our newest product: Joggles Wonky Wood Houses!
I chased the Wonky Wood House idea for months, running into a few brick walls on my way to bringing them to you. Eventually I turned to my son-in-law who hand crafted them to my specifications. They’re made from paint grade poplar which means there’s little in the way of blemishes or anything to mar the surface. Each is a different size, but they’re all 1″ thick so they’ll stand by themselves. Make a grouping for maximum impact – that’s what I did!
Todd hand selected the boards, planed them smooth on both sizes, cut the shapes, then sanded each of the houses so that they’re ready to go when you receive them. I never so much as touched a piece of sandpaper when I worked on the samples you’ll see in the video. Not only does that save time, it means you can get to the fun part of creating without delay.

Hi Barb,
What is the name of your cutting surface. I believe, in another video, that you called it something like press board. Is it available at the Joggles store?
Hi Candace,
The product is the Omnigrid Cutting Station. We’re out at the moment, but since you called my attention to them I did place an order which should be here by mid next week. Poke me on Wednesday – that’s when the order should arrive. :+)
