We’re playing on the dark side of journal pages today with the introduction of our Disc Bound Black Journals in three sizes; 3″ x 4″, 6″ x 6″. and 6″ x 9″. Yes, there will be “Additional Pages” for each size, so you can add to what’s packed in the journal kit or mix them with watercolor or Yupo pages.
Working on black causes you to think a bit differently than when you work on white or lighter pages. In today’s video I’ll show you several options, including using Pentel Milky and Sparkle Pop Gel Pens. The surface of the black paper is very smooth, so writing and lettering is a breeze. To make it even easier, we’re putting all of the Pentel Pen sets and open stock colors on sale at 20% off.
I’ll also demo my way of using gesso with paint to create interesting layered backgrounds. For a little additional fun, I’ll bring out the Aladine iZink Glitter Paint and Nuvo Expandable Mousse. booth look fabulous on those black pages!
