I have something brand new for you today; a year-long project that I’m very excited about and something I hope you’ll join me in: A Creativity Calendar Journal.
Unlike a traditional calendar journal where you might chronicle your experiences, my Creativity Calendar Journal is earmarked toward a little bit of me time each day, with 1.5″ x 1.5″ blocks waiting for you to complete them. A little doodle here, a splash of color there… they can be detailed or not. What matters is that you create, a little every day.
I know life gets in the way some of the time. If that happens, you create a little more the next day. Or the next. The block are small, but the rewards are great and I’m willing to keep at this just for the sheer pleasure and sense of accomplishment. There will be additional videos during the remainder of the year where we can work together using different techniques and layouts for the months. I’m anticipating December and looking back to see my progress.
Will you join me??
You’ll see me working in a Strathmore Art Journal, the one that’s filled with sturdy 140# watercolor pages and measures 7.74″ x 9.75″ that is designated as #483-7. You can use this one, another one in the line, or something you already have. Just be sure whatever you choose is large enough to accommodate as many as 31 days.
