Welcome to Wednesday and the newest MidWeek Muse video where I’m messing with… Deli Paper!
It’s an amazing product, capable of accepting many types of paints, sprays, mediums, or just about anything you can throw at it – literally in some cases where color is splashed about with abandon – resulting in paper that’s beautifully unique. I had a lot of fun playing with it; adding color and texture, creating layers one on top of the other, all the while working on lots of sheets at a time for maximum production.
One of the most important things when working with it is using the correct one. I tried several different brands, but in the end settled on one that’s far more translucent than others, becoming nearly invisible when applied to a surface.
As you experiment I’m sure you’ll discover what I have… that there’s almost nothing you can’t try with Deli Paper. If an experiment fails, toss that sheet and move on to the next. Or cover the “failure” with a layer of paint and try again!

Love your work. How do you clean your hands after using your fingers to paint?
Hi Edie,
Paint on my hands doesn’t bother me, so I wash off what I can wit soap and water. Anything that remains is usually gone in a couple of days.
