Gilding Flakes are an easy way to add glimmer and a metallic look to most any surface. Whether you like a little or a lot, you can customize your project to appeal to your inner magpie or have a more subtle appearance. I’m not sure there’s such a thing as too may Gilding Flakes. Or if there is, I’ve not hit that threshold!
As you’ll see in the video, gilding with this product is a simple, three-step process regardless of whether you’re working with a stamp, stencil, or on a 3 dimensional surface. I think you’re going to enjoy working with this stuff!

Oh my gosh! This checks all the boxes. Easy to use, shiny (!), finger play… The results are stunning, especially the stencil application.
I for one do not find the time in the video boring when you are waiting for the glue to dry. You didn’t leave dead air and I think it is useful to get an idea of how long we are talking about having to wait for the glue to be at the right stage for application of the flakes.
Thanks once again for finding us such fun and inspirational products for our artistic expression. I feel like my Inner Child is being nurtured so well by all this glitter and playfulness.
Love the gilding flakes. My daughter did a huge frame with mirror and painting over the top, huge French named thing, and boy was it impressive. Though it is messy to apply, it’s delightful to get in and have a blast!
Do you think it’s the same kind of glue used with foiling? Curious as I like to use up my products. Ranger sells a sticky glue too.

I will be ordering this and I also have the Inkagold…my question,,,do you think this would guild the edges of book pages…I am going to try it. I have already tried the Inkagold…works pretty well. And then I saw THIS!! Wow…need this too…of course! Thanks for another awesome intro to a new product!! Love these.
Here in the UK we have had gilding flakes for quiite a while. One method of using them you didn’t mention, Barb, is with double sided adhesive sheets and a die cut on one side so that the gaps can be filled with the flakes. This is very effective, I would say don’t burnish too hard as if you do the flakes dull down and don’t have that lovely shine. Something else you can do is lay a stencil over double sided adhesive. Put on the gilding flakes, burnish and then lift off the stencil. Use fine glitter (white or a contrasting colour) and sprinkle on remaining sticky bits and then burnish. The whole adhesive sheet will then be covered and all stickiness gone. Think it is recommended to use a Perfect Medium pad lightly over the stencil before putting it on the sheet as this will help the stencil to come off more easily.
