With the first group of orders for the 12 new Oxide Pads and Reinkers out the door and on their way to you all, I took a few minutes on Saturday to actually create with them.
Since I’m limiting myself to roughly 5 minutes, I decided to explore how much fun the palette expanding to 24 colors could be. My mindset was to combine some of the first release colors with ones from the second and see what happened.
The answer to what happened is… magic. Between the unique Oxide properties and having a larger group of colors to play with, I was able to make some backgrounds that are awesome. Simple to do, the only real requirement is that you allow any layer to dry before adding the next one. That’s the real key to making magic with Oxides.

Just received your new oxides and LOVE them. I forgot to dry between and made a lot of lovely earth toned background LOL. I still love them but won’t be using the whole rainbow unless I dry between. What fun.
