It’s Wednesday and time for the newest MidWeek Muse video. Today’s is all about Tim Holtz’s Distress Ink Reinkers and the multitude of things you can do with them besides refresh and reink your Distress Ink Pads.
Perhaps the most exciting technique of those that I’m demoing is the ability to use the reinkers to make Distress Ink Sprays. Until Tim and Ranger relent and produce a line of sprays, this is the next best thing. Once you watch the video you’ll see how simple it is. Water in the bottle, add 2 to 3 droppers of reinker, and voila! You have Distress in a bottle and a whole new world opens when you can spray those delicious colors.
The best part? Our Joggles empty Mister Bottles are back in stock and because the price is so good, you can afford to indulge your muse and make lots and lots of Distress Spray colors!
That’s just the beginning of the interesting things you can do with the reinkers. Wait till you see how much fun and how creative you can be with them. Another technique you’ll see is how to make custom colored ink pads using the reinkers and Ranger’s Cut ‘n Dry Felt. We have the felt in stock and so that your custom ink pads don’t dry out I’ll give you some larger sized zip top plastic bags to store them in. For every package of the Cut ‘n Dry Felt you buy I’ll give you 3 bags; 2 that measure 6″ x 9″ (for really large pads!) and one that’s 6″ x 6″. You can save those pads and use them forever, with very occasional reinking.
