Up today is a quick video about an even quicker holiday project: glittered snowflake holiday tree ornaments.
Made with our laser cut Snowflake Ornaments, they’re embellished with a layer of Tim’s Vintage Platinum Distress Glitter Dust and are the perfect holiday decoration. Dina Wakley’s Gel Medium acts as the adhesive and you’ll see me demo a way to apply it so that it stays out of the crevices and off the sides of the snowflake. You end up with glitter only on the face of the ornament and no annoying cleanup.
If you need a quick gift, a way to occupy the kids for a few hours, or a creative diversion for yourself… these fit the bill.
Supplies For This Video:

These are gorgeous ornaments and would also make a wonderful embellishment to put on a present! Very cool! I was also quite smitten with the imprint the snowflake left in the gel medium and thought how cool would they be to use with a Gel Press plate to create a lovely wintry background. Thanks for the inspiration, Barb! I’ll be playing with these for sure.
Thanks Bonnie! I didn’t think about using the leftover gel medium, but… as usual, you have fab ideas!
Great idea, Barbara, and the snowflakes come out so beautifully and so effortlessly for those last minute gifts or embellishments for a package and a tree. Thank you for the suggestion. I may do this next year, for soon, all our belongings and cars will be heading for our new home in Freeport,,ME! Two kitties will be with us on the plane, and hopefully all our stuff will beat us there, and our daughter and son in law will have everything set up! At least the furniture, anyway. Can’t wait to unpack my supplies that have been packed for two months already….
