To say that adult coloring is fun and popular would be a pretty big understatement. There are books of all kinds with designs just crying out for color, using whatever media you enjoy.
When I was at a trade show a few weeks ago I happened upon a company selling Alibabette Double Cards To Color and knew immediately that they were a product I wanted to not only bring in, but get my hands on to play with.
In this video you’ll see me color with ink sprays loaded into Tim Holtz’s Detail Water Brushes, plus I’ll quickly demo using Derwent Coloured Pencils. Though the outside surface of the card has a slight texture, colored pencils work quite well. You’ll also see that additional embellishments can be added. I kept mine simple (and sparkly) by using a light touch with some Stickles. They add a bit of glimmer but don’t overwhelm the cards. I also use some of Tim’s Small Talk, Chit Chat, and Big Chat Sticklers. There are a lot of other things that would be suitable for embellishing the cards. So long as whatever you choose isn’t so thick it interferes with the card fitting in the envelope, it’s fair game!
