Creating A Back To Back To Back Book
      November 2, 2016

If you’ve watched any of the videos in recent weeks you probably heard me reference the Back To Back To Back Book or seen pages from it as I demoed a technique or product.  I’ve used them as part of several projects and today’s video is the culmination of it all; where you’ll see how to assemble the pages to create the book and how to cover the spine with Sticky Back Canvas that’s been colored with Distress Paint.

I love this book, I have to say.  It’s chunky and sturdy and invites the viewer to turn the pages to see what comes next.  And, that’s with nothing added to the pages other than the sprays, paint, and other colors and textures.  At the end of the video you’ll see me discuss some of what I did to take them from white to wonderful.  A spray here and some paint on a brayer there… big dots made with a Mini Ink Blending Tool.  All of the usual avenues to making things interesting.

The book is simple to make with pages glued back to back to back (thus the name) and then using the aforementioned Sticky Back Canvas to camouflage the page folds that make up the spine.  It can be made with any size pages and you can add as many as you like.  Thick or thin, big or small, I know you’re gonna love my Back To Back To Back Book!

Love this and making mini books is a passion of mine. I am thinking of making a page spread for some of my gazillions of stamps I got for making cards for the grands. I have gnomes and fairies and jellyfish and polar bears, etc… Putting gnomes and mushrooms and tree bases on one with no text can be a springboard for the grands to make up their own little stories about each page. I have loads of those record chips that Sizzix used to put in the packaging of their dies and can let the grands record their own book.

Love this book! How many pages did you make in this one. I like the size and techniques. On payday I will be placing a score tape order and probably more!

Thanks very much! I don’t have an exact count, but a reasonable guess is I used 25 to 30 strips of paper. That makes for a nice, chunky book!
