Dina’s torn Heavyweight Watercolor Paper becomes the pages for this sweet journal that’s put together with a Slipknot Binding. I used Caron’s Watercolours Thread to create the binding which shows off the hand painted colors beautifully. Simple to do, but incredibly effective, the Slipknot Binding may be my new favorite option for binding single pages!
Supplies For This Video:
Dina’s Heavyweight Watercolor Paper
The Caron Collection Watercolour Threads
Dina’s Paint – I used White, Mineral, Heather, Orchid, and Turquoise
Dina’s 4 Piece Brush Set – I used the 1″ brush to apply the paint on the pages and the 1.5″ Stiff Bristled style (from this set) to apply paint through the stencil
Joggles Rice Papers – I used black and white styles. Scroll and go on to subsequent pages to see them all
Rebekah Meier Rice Papers – I used black and white styles
Dina’s Collage Paper Page 1 and Page 2
Dina’s Stencils – I used Varied

Hi Barb,
I made 20 of these journals for Christmas gifts. They are so fun to make and easy, too, once you get the hang of it. Thank you to Dina and you for sharing, I love your tutorials!
