ATBs (Artist Trading Blocks) are back, this time with what I think of as 3D add ons, items that add dimension, height, and even motion, or the illusion of it, to the cubes.
I had so much fun the first time I played with ATBs I knew that I wanted to explore them further. As you’ll hear me explain in the video, the wood finial that I gilded in the IndigoBlu Mega Flake video has been hanging around, tempting me to find a perfect project for it, since I completed work on those pieces.
Things finally came together in what I think of as a butterfly coupe ATB, which will make more sense once you see the video and the photos of the finished pieces I posted.
My goal with this video is to show you how to create the butterfly coupe ATB and also demo how you can use other types of wood components on all sizes of your ATBs. The final segment is about those additional options for smaller wheels, stacking pieces to create something entirely new, and some other options aside from wheels, to add to your ATBs.
