Alcohol Inks have quickly become one of my favorite types of media to work with. Combined with Yupo paper and simple techniques, it’s really easy to get fantastic results.
In today’s video I’m incorporating lots of metallic inks into my work, using stencils or not, to create all kinds of wonderful shapes and effects. You’ll also see me work with a nifty specialty bottle, with a super fine tip, that allows me to place tiny drops of alcohol for interesting effects. Drops are not all that bottle is suitable for and you’ll see other options for using it. You’ll also see me put Ranger’s Blending Solution in an empty Detail Water Brush which allows me to move or remove color very easily. And stencils? Did I mention stencils? You can create some fabulous things with Alcohol Inks and stencils!
