Last week Bonnie’s prompt was to use strong horizontal and vertical elements. I decided to turn that around for week 15 and go kind of in the opposite direction; to incorporate curvy or round elements as the prompt.
You may notice my page is smaller than previous ones. My time has been so fractured lately that it was either work smaller or not get anything finished. I’ve trimmed the size of my page from 8″ x 10″ to 5″ x 8″ and found that the smaller size meant I was able to finish.
You’ll notice that everything on this page is round; the tiny circles way in the background, the larger ones cut from deli paper, the flowers, and the dots I filled those larger circles in with. Yours doesn’t have to have every last thing be round, just incorporate round or curvy shapes somewhere.
Onward!
My first round element is a ring cut from a piece of deli paper. You will also (barely) see that I sprayed Crème Brule Cream Lindy’s Starburst Spray in the area where the ring center is. My original idea was to have one ring, then I realized the page needed more. I added them but didn’t bother with additional spray.
Playing with placement.
Then playing with ideas for stamped elements I wanted to add. Since I’m working “round”, I decided to keep to that theme as much as possible. These are all my drawings, made into stamps. Doodle Flowers and Scribble Flowers. You can find them in our Joggles Cling Stamps.
Testing placement of the flowers I chose.
Added some scribbled text around the deli paper rings…
Glued the colored flowers in place, then added some dots to the center of the circles formed by the deli paper rings.
Then I added some tiny circles drawn with a Superfine Black PITT Pen and called it done!

I like it!! Looks like the flowers are ‘talking’ to each other.
Love the circles Bonnie and I have a few on my desk right now.
