Setacolor transparent paints are suitable for all techniques to decorate light colored fabrics. Though lighter in texture than the Setacolor opaque range, they are perfectly suited for brush work, stencil work or silkscreen printing, and are especially appropriate for diluted techniques. The Setacolor transparent paints are light-sensitive and can be used for sun printing - mix 2 parts water to one part paint.
Setacolor can be applied on fabics free of sizing (either prewash to remove sizing or use PFD fabric) and the decorated fabrics keep their suppleness. Click here for Prepared for Dye fabrics.
To fix the Setacolor colors, iron on the reverse side of the decorated fabric for 3 minutes with your iron on cotton setting. It is also possible to put the fabric in a kitchen oven for 5 minutes at 300°F and the colors are fixed. Once fixed, the colors resist machine washing at 100°F and dry cleaning.
