Marabu Fashion Shimmer

Whether you create wearable art or work on paper, you're going to love the results you get with Fashion Shimmer. Don't let the word "fashion" sway you to thinking they're only useful on fabric or in textile based projects. Fashion Shimmer works beautifully on paper, chipboard, cardstock, and most porous surfaces. Best of all? The color stays put once it dries on those surfaces. Heat set fabric that will be laundered for permanence.

For fabric, it's recommended that you use one with no more than 20% man-made fiber. The colors are made washable up to 140 degrees Fahrenheit by setting with a hot dry iron for 3 minutes, perferably with the painted side face up. Use a thin piece of fabric between the paint and the bottom of your iron to protect the paint from scorching. Alternatively, bake the piece (fabric, sneaker, purse, etc) in a 300 degree oven for 3 minutes.

Best suited to light colored fabric or papers. Use with stencils, apply with a brush, or mist right from the sprayer built into the bottle for quick coverage of larger areas. Great for your mixed media projects, on cards, or in your art journals, Fashion Shimmer is also wonderful for use on 3 dimensional pieces like sneakers, pre-made purses, natural fiber lampshades, etc.
