Made from pigment and shaped like a crayon, Dina Wakley’s Scribble Sticks are easy to use and wonderful to create with. Unlike similar products that contain wax, Scribble Sticks are water soluble pigment and do not move or blend when rubbed with a finger. Magic happens when water is added, allowing you to move and blend what you scribble on a page. Add more water for a transparent wash or more pigment to retain the opacity. Designed from the ground up to write on top of acrylic paint, Scribble Sticks will become your new favorite crayon!

I like these for the same reasons the other review doesn't.... they are muted colors and almost pastel. Very unique and I love that. They are hard crayons (not like Marabu or Gelatos) which I prefer when I take them for travel and less mess in general, yet still workable with water (and/or other wet media like inks or sprays). They're great if you're a little heavy handed like me, also, lol! Know those things going in and you'll be fine; I've got 2 sets and picking up a 3rd. They are their own animal, that's for sure :)

Not what I was expecting. They are hard, I wanted soft. Colors are not pigmented as it says. They are very muted colors
