AKA Deli Paper Escapades. Adventures in Tearing & Gluing!<\/p>\n
Over time I have accumulated a lot of painted Deli Paper.\u00a0 Sheets and sheets of it in fact, made with all kinds of colors and patterns.\u00a0 I find the playful process of making those sheets really soothing, probably because I have no expectations.\u00a0 It’s all about slapping color on and moving to the next sheet.\u00a0 The faster I work the better the outcome – usually.<\/p>\n
Though the process is fun, eventually I wanted to do something with the papers besides have them languish in a drawer.\u00a0 In today’s video you’re going to see several options for that.\u00a0 My favorite is the first technique where I tear strips,\u00a0adhere them to watercolor paper, then cut strips from the watercolor paper which produces lengths with blocks of color on them.\u00a0 That will make far more sense when you see me demo the process, I promise!\u00a0 You can also cut shapes from the stripped paper; circles, squares, even pennants, that become building blocks for other elements.<\/p>\n
