The impetus behind our new Watercolor Art Parts and Sentiments is pretty simple: convenience.\u00a0 I like the idea of having precut shapes ready to go when I’m ready to create.<\/p>\n
I will confess to being an absolute luddite when it comes to die cutting.\u00a0 There are too many parts and shims and spacers and platforms, ad infinitum it seems.\u00a0 With Art Parts and Art Sentiments, the shapes and words are simple to remove from the sheet with the snip of a few little tabs.<\/p>\n
Watercolor paper is what I consider a perfect surface; it’s absorbent and works beautifully with ink sprays, paint, and pretty much any of the products I tend to reach for.\u00a0 It’s 140#, so it’s also very sturdy.\u00a0 It does pretty much anything I ask of it which is another reason we use it for these new Art Parts and Sentiments.<\/p>\n
Versatility is another trait I admire and as you’ll see in the video, both Watercolor Sentiments and Art Parts are versatile virtuosos.\u00a0 I might actually make more cards now that it’s so simple to assemble the parts into a pretty whole!<\/p>\n
