Hello \u2013 Teresa<\/a> here again with some quick-to-make greeting cards. These simple doodled stamps seemed the perfect companions to the floral Lokta papers from Joggles. The organic designs and natural textures of the paper asked for a simple and understated project, so I chose kraft card as a base, adding machine sewing and some embossed details. I toyed with the idea of adding a sentiment but decided to leave them without, making them perfect for any occasion or even just to say hello!<\/p>\n

Using Versamark ink, I stamped the flower images onto kraft cardstock, sprinkled with white embossing powder, and heat embossed the outlines with my heat tool. I then used the VersaMarker (Versamark ink in a handy pen form) to fill in areas of the flowers, sprinkled with gold embossing powder and heat embossed once again with my tool. If you can’t get hold of a Versapen, you could achieve a similar effect using glue and foils.<\/p>\n

I trimmed my stamped panels and set them aside for a moment while I created my card bases. I chose some of the floral Lokta papers which had metallic details to co-ordinate with my embossed flowers and cut them to size, matting them onto kraft card. I used small pieces of double sided tape on the back of the card and paper to stop the layers from moving, then stitched using my sewing machine and black thread.<\/p>\n

The ends of the thread were pulled through to the back and knotted to prevent them coming undone before mounting the panel onto a card blank.<\/p>\n
