2017 Art Journal Adventure &#8211; Week 29"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Week 29 finds me once again in a hotel room, this time in Salt Lake City.\u00a0 Unlike previous pages created while out of town I have little to no supplies\u00a0available since most of them have been shipped in and are at the convention center.\u00a0 That dearth forced me into figuring out what I could do with the little I have here in the room: stencils, 3 jars of Finnabair&#8217;s Art Alchemy Sparks Paint, PITT Pens, and some Mini Ink Blending Tools.<\/p>\n<p>Since I&#8217;m deep in work mode and have a metric boatload of things to do, I started a list and then it occurred to me that could be Week 29&#8217;s prompt.\u00a0 Bullet Journaling is huge right now and a\u00a0lot of that is list making.\u00a0 If it&#8217;s good enough for a Bujo, it&#8217;ll fabulous for my AJA page.<\/p>\n<p>So your Week 29 prompt: feature a list or lists on your page.<\/p>\n<p>Mine is pretty spare given that I have little to nothing to work with.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t feel as though yours needs to be.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2017-aja-week-29-1.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-5YY9koTH\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6413\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2017-aja-week-29-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"933\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Stencils are part of what I brought in my suitcases and have in the room, along with those three bottles of paint.\u00a0 This one is our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/stencils\/joggles-6-inch-x-9-inch-stencils-and-masks\/joggles-margaret-applin-designs-6-inch-x-9-inch-stencil-floral-stack-57489.htm\" target=\"_blank\">new 6&#8243; x 9&#8243; style named Floral Stack<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2017-aja-week-29-2.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-5YY9koTH\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6414\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2017-aja-week-29-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"933\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m using a large zip top freezer bag as a kind of nonstick surface and have placed the stencil on my watercolor paper.\u00a0 The three bottles of paint I have are all the new Art Alchemy Sparks; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/paint-dye-and-ink\/finnabair-art-alchemy\/finnabair-art-alchemy-acrylic-paint-sparks-butterfly-spells.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Butterfly Spells<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/paint-dye-and-ink\/finnabair-art-alchemy\/finnabair-art-alchemy-acrylic-paint-sparks-fairy-wings.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Fairy Wings<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/paint-dye-and-ink\/finnabair-art-alchemy\/finnabair-art-alchemy-acrylic-paint-sparks-mermaid-sparkle.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Mermaid Sparkle<\/a>.\u00a0 That&#8217;s a little Fairy Sparkle loaded on just the edge of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/art-journals-and-mixed-media\/misc-stamp-mixed-media-supplies\/ranger-inkssentials-mini-ink-blending-tool-40965.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool<\/a>.\u00a0 Once I have the paint on the foam I mushed it around on the plastic bag to spread the paint on the foam.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2017-aja-week-29-4.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-5YY9koTH\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6416\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2017-aja-week-29-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"933\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You can see I applied the green Fairy Wings to the stem and the base of each of the flowers.\u00a0 Once it was dry I loaded a tiny amount of Butterfly Spells on the opposite side of the Mini Ink Blending Tool, smooshed it around on the plastic bag to spread the color out, then applied it to the flower petals parts of the stencil.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2017-aja-week-29-5.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-5YY9koTH\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6417\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2017-aja-week-29-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"895\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Color applied and dry, so now it&#8217;s time for a little pen work&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2017-aja-week-29-6.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-5YY9koTH\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6415\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2017-aja-week-29-6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"933\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ordinarily I&#8217;d use an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/art-journals-and-mixed-media\/faber-castell-pitt-pens\/faber-castell-pitt-artist-pen-xs-extra-super-fine-tip-black.htm\" target=\"_blank\">XS, extra super fine black PITT Pen<\/a>, but for some reason I didn&#8217;t bring one so am working with an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/art-journals-and-mixed-media\/faber-castell-pitt-pens\/faber-castell-pitt-artist-pen-s-super-fine-tip-black.htm\" target=\"_blank\">S superfine tipped<\/a> one and am using a light touch.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2017-aja-week-29-9.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-5YY9koTH\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6418\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2017-aja-week-29-9.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"906\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Finished the pen work around the petals and decided to add a sketchy border too.\u00a0 I like it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2017-aja-week-29-10.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-5YY9koTH\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6419\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2017-aja-week-29-10.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"883\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And here&#8217;s a part of my to do list for the
