Hi everyone! it’s Bonnie<\/strong> <\/a>here with another Tuesday card post. This time I am featuring two of the fabulous Stampingbella Creative Girl Stamps by Danielle Donaldson<\/a> as well as some Sticky Snippets.<\/a> I LOVE these sweet images and also that they come in two sizes in the same set plus they have accompanying sentiments. They are wonderful for art journalling but work beautifully for cards and even ATCs. I’m a big believer in having cards made up ahead so I can grab one when I need it.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I started these two simple cards by cutting a piece of plain blue designer paper into two rectangles which were 4.5 x 6 inches. I then cut two black rectangles from card stock, each measuring 4.75 x 6.25 inches. The black would mat the blue layer and still allow a border of the white card base to show on all sides. I like that crisp layered effect. I have several of the Sticky Snippets sheets already decorated with paint, inks, and stamping. They are so handy to just grab when you need elements for art journalling or card making.\u00a0I used some strips from the Extra Long Rectangles Sticky Snippets<\/a> and cut them to size, putting the excess back on the non-stick background for future use. The Sticky Snippets are self-adhesive so I set them in place, trimmed them, and moved on to the next step. Easy Peasy!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The background for the second card was done in the same way only I used Sticky Snippets Medium Circles<\/a> which are 1.5 inches in diameter. From the edges of the decorated sheet, I punched two sizes of hearts to fit between the circles.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

To prepare the Stampingbella Cling Stamp images, they were inked with Jet Black Archival and stamped onto white card stock using the larger of the two sizes from each set. The one on the left is called Almost Ella dd100<\/strong><\/a> and the one on the right is O<\/a>nly Gretchen dd106<\/a>.<\/strong> I also stamped one of the sentiments from each set.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I coloured each image with a mix of either Derwent Coloursoft<\/a>, Polychromos or Prismacolor pencils, depending upon the shade I wanted. They are so much cuter once coloured and although the samples on the packaging are softer hues, I tend to go vibrant when I colour \ud83d\ude42 Each image and sentiment was fussy cut and then adhered to black card stock. They were trimmed again leaving a narrow black border to help them pop against the backgrounds.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

A Fine Tip black Faber Castell Pitt Pen <\/a>was used to outline the Sticky Snippet pieces on both backgrounds. This helps them pop and adds some visual weight to even those tiny hearts. Jet Black Archival Ink<\/a> was applied to the edges with an ink blending tool.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Ella’s card looked a little plain when she was auditioned prior to being adhered. A piece of a small doily was added behind her head and four tiny threaded buttons were adhered to the Sticky Snippet strips using Aleene’s Super Thick Tacky Glue<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Both the sentiments and the images were adhered with foam squares<\/a> to create dimension and a natural shadow. The Sticky Snippet rectangle at the bottom of the card gives Ella a place to stand so she isn’t floating.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The one Sticky Snippet circle was placed so that Gretchen would also have a place to stand. Grounding them like that really helps the design of the card fronts.<\/p>\n

And that’s it…two quick and easy cards using sweet and simple stamped images and some Sticky Snippets which were all ready to go from a previous play session.<\/p>\n
