Welcome to Wednesday and today’s MidWeek Muse. After two weeks off for the Black Friday sale madness, I have a new video that I think you’re going to enjoy. In it I’ll show you how to make not one, not two, but three styles of Christmas trees!<\/p>\n
This has become an annual tradition and I’m thrilled to have entirely new ways to create trees to share with you today. Each of the prior two years we’ve played with wool felt, and while I love them, I wanted to try something totally different this time around. And different they are! The first tree you’ll see in the video is made using a paper mache cone that has layers of embossed paperclay petals arranged around it. The second style also uses a paper mache cone, but this time I cover it with Golden FIber Paste, then apply Mica Fragments to the paste while it’s wet to give the tree a wonderful silvery color. The third style uses Tim’s new Woodlands bottle brush trees and I’ll show how easy it is to add color (and glitter if you want!) to them. Arrange all three styles and you have a colorful grove that makes a lovely holiday scene for a mantle or table.<\/p>\n
