Today we’re creating ATCs and an accordion book to mount them in. I hadn’t made an ATC in a good long while, so creating the art and filming the video was a fun chance to revisit the process. I’ve been working exclusively in the Dylusions Creative Journal for months now, so it was really interesting to step down to the 2 1\/2″ x 3 1\/2″ sized ATCs.<\/p>\n

It turned out to be a really enjoyable project. As you’ll see in the video, I created all of the ATCs as a group, from adding color to the backgrounds, to layering on texture and pattern, then finally collaging stamped images to the cards. Working in a series this way helps promote cohesion among the cards that easily become a unified set.<\/p>\n

I’ll also show you how to make the accordion book to mount the ATCs to. The best part? By attaching strips of watercolor paper together you can make the accordion as long as you want, to hold as many ATCs as you can make. Super easy, and easily customizable to the ATCs you’ve made. These are really fun to make and would be a really nice gift – if you can bear to part with them!<\/p>\n
