After the Autumn Tidings Tunnel Book video\u00a0debuted on September 14th, a number of\u00a0you wrote to say how much\u00a0you loved\u00a0it and wondered whether I could create one for Christmas.\u00a0 I spent some time searching and found imagery that I absolutely fell in love with and soon was off and running.<\/p>\n
This time I’m working with the 6″ x 9″ Rectangular Tunnel Book and as you’ll see in the video, it’s a little different than the 6″ x 6″ options since the tunnel grows narrower as you get to the back of the book, but the height never changes.\u00a0 This allowed me to have a full page image on the inside back cover that is what you see when looking into the tunnel.\u00a0 I set the characters so you would see just enough in the small opening to whet your appetite and make you want to page through the book to the end.<\/p>\n
Unlike the other pages, the inside back cover is one full sized sheet and it meant to cover the entire surface.\u00a0 Those other pages are meant to have images placed in whatever fashion you wish.\u00a0 The kit includes more than enough imagery for you to mimic my layout, add to it, or strike out on your own and create your vision of the book.\u00a0 It may appear complicated as you read this, but will make much more sense once you watch the video.<\/p>\n
I mentioned there is a kit; it includes the blank chipboard 6″ x 9″ Tunnel Book, 5 Book Rings, and 5 Collage Sheets packed with the lovely images.<\/p>\n
This project was a labor of love.\u00a0 I enjoyed the process and am thrilled with the finished piece.\u00a0\u00a0A\u00a0completed book\u00a0would make a lovely family heirloom\u00a0or a treasured gift.\u00a0 Or give\u00a0the kit as a gift so the recipient can fall under the creative spell and create her own version.<\/p>\n
