{"id":456,"date":"2013-06-12T10:34:50","date_gmt":"2013-06-12T15:34:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/blog\/?p=456"},"modified":"2015-11-15T10:42:53","modified_gmt":"2015-11-15T15:42:53","slug":"coloring-with-distress-paint-dabbers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.joggles.com\/blog\/coloring-with-distress-paint-dabbers\/","title":{"rendered":"Coloring With Distress Paint Dabbers!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to Wednesday &#8211; it&#8217;s MidWeek Muse day!<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m really excited about today&#8217;s video since the techniques I&#8217;m demoing are ones I happened upon while playing in my studio. Some of the time play is just play and others&#8230; well, really cool stuff comes about.<\/p>\n<p>I was dabbling with Distress paint dabbers, thinking about using them as resists on journal page backgrounds. I was &#8220;drawing&#8221; with the dabber tops, creating random designs on a page spread, when a light went off in my head and it occurred to me that I could layer colors in a circular pattern and they kind of looked like flower heads. Out came a sheet of paper and I was off, swirling paint and doodling over the patterns once they dried. The next thing I knew I had a sheet full of doodled flowers!<\/p>\n<p>Then the &#8220;ok, what else can I do with this&#8221; challenge presented itself and I was off again, creating different patterns.
