In July 2016 Ranger expanded the Enamel Accents line; adding 10 colors and making them and the\u00a0existing black and white available as open stock.\u00a0 I had previously used white Enamel Accents, making dots on one of my Wonky Wood Houses.\u00a0 With the introduction of the new colors I felt it was time to come back to the product and give it another try.<\/p>\n
While you can “draw” with the tip of the applicator, for today I concentrated on making dots.\u00a0 Lines of dots.\u00a0 Random dots.\u00a0 Dots arranged in circles and arcs.\u00a0 While making circles it occurred to me that if I made concentric circles I was creating what looked like a mandala, with the pattern radiating out from the center.<\/p>\n
In no time at all I was completely dot crazy, adding them to some ATCs I’d been working on (yes, you recognize them from the ATCs video\u00a0that debuted a\u00a0week ago\u00a0– click here<\/a> to see it) and pairing then with round Sticky Snippets\u2122 in a variety of ways.<\/p>\n Dots are simple shapes that are effective when used alone, but become even better when combined.\u00a0 Dots are also simple to make and the only thing you need to be careful of is placing them too near each other.\u00a0 Enamel Accents are more fluid than Ranger’s Liquid Pearls and Stickles, so the dots will settle and spread a tiny bit.\u00a0 Some of the time that’s just enough to cause one to merge with its neighbor.\u00a0 Take a few minutes to experiment with placement so you get an idea of how close is “too close!” and you’ll know what avoid as you create mandalas and other patterns.<\/p>\n Soon enough you’ll be dot crazy too!<\/p>\n
