Welcome to Wednesday and the newest MidWeek Muse video, where I’m experimenting with Daler Rowney’s FW Pearlescent Inks.<\/p>\n
The FW Inks are water based colors, with incredible amounts of pearlescent shimmer and rich pigment, just right for all kinds of journal and mixed media creating. I don’t know what the FW designation from Daler Rowney means, but it should stand for ‘fabulous’ and ‘wonderful’, because that’s what they are. Most of the folks I know and correspond with love working with shimmery colors. If that’s you, then I think you’re going to very enamored with these inks.<\/p>\n
In the video I’m going to demo a number of techniques that I know you’ll want to try, but perhaps the one I love the most is creating shimmery sprays. It’s as simple as using an empty bottle with water in it and adding some of the ink. I recommend 1 to 3 eyedroppers per about 1 ounce of water, depending on the intensity of the final spray color you desire. When you watch the video you’ll see it’s as simple as it sounds, too.<\/p>\n
