Good Morning, Amy<\/a> here, and today I’m uber excited to share with you a fun way to use the Joggles Accordion Books\u00a0by incorporating two Accordion Books into one. My friend has been down lately so I decided to make an Inspirational Quote Accordion Book for her.<\/p>\n

Here is my process:<\/p>\n

\"Photo<\/a><\/p>\n

Start by cutting the 3\u201dx 5\u201d Accordion book.<\/p>\n

\"Photo<\/a><\/p>\n

I cut mine into two 3 Panel sections and two 2 panel sections.<\/p>\n

\"Photo<\/a><\/p>\n

Using the Lindy\u2019 Stamp Gang Moon Shadow Mist in Tawny Turquoise and the Fireworks Summer Sky Sprays, give your panel pieces a light coat. Don\u2019t forget to do the back of the panels as well. :o) Set panels aside to dry.<\/p>\n

\"Photo<\/a><\/p>\n

Using the same mist sprays, give the 4\u201dx 6\u201d Accordion Booklet a good coat. Again, don\u2019t forget to do the back as well. Set aside and let air dry or use your heat tool.<\/p>\n

\"Photo<\/a><\/p>\n

Cut two pieces of the Strathmore Mixed Media Paper into 3.75\u201dX 5.75\u201d. Add a layer of color with the Tea Dye Distress Ink and Rangers Inkssentials Mini Blending tool.<\/p>\n

\"Photo<\/a><\/p>\n

Next, add a layer around the edges using the Vintage Photo Distress Ink.<\/p>\n

\"Photo<\/a><\/p>\n

Finally, add the Walnut Stain Distress Ink along the edges, not bringing the ink as far into the middle as the Vintage Photo. Using a Fan Brush loaded with water, sprinkle droplets onto paper by tapping the brush on your finger over the background to create\u00a0a distressed\/vintage look. Dry with your heat tool.<\/p>\n

\"Photo<\/a><\/p>\n

Stamp each of the \u201cBird Collage\u201d and \u201cAbigail with Goggles & Hat\u201d Joggles Cling rubber stamps with Sepia Versafine Ink onto the 3.75\u201dx 5.75\u201d panel pieces and set aside.<\/p>\n

\"Photo<\/a><\/p>\n

In keeping with the brown\/blue color palette, stamp text with the Aquamarine Archival Ink in random spots by rolling the stamp onto your paper.<\/p>\n

\"Photo<\/a><\/p>\n

Using Walnut Stain and Broken China Distress Inks, randomly stamp bird stamps (Hampton Arts Birds- SC0648 used here) onto your cut 3 x 5 inch panels we put aside in Step 3. Again, be sure to stamp the backside of the panels as well.<\/p>\n

\"Photo<\/a><\/p>\n

Cut out several different tags\/embellishments from a 9 x 12 inch sheet of the Strathmore Mixed Media Paper which has been sprayed with the two mists to keep the color of the project uniform. These will be used to stamp your quotes on before adding them to the book. You can also use ephemera or other embellishments that you already have on hand. Ink the edges of your tags\/embellishments with the Broken China Distress Ink. I love the softness that this edging adds to the project.<\/p>\n

\"Photo<\/a><\/p>\n

Using the 0.25\u201d Scor-Tape, adhere your separate 3 x 5 inch panels and tags\/embellishments throughout your 4 x 6 inch Accordion Booklet. Stamp different inspirational quotes onto the different tags and panels using the Jet Black Archival Ink. I used several from Unity Stamp Co, So Suzy Stamps, Inkadinkado, Tim Holtz, Gina K. Designs, Two Paper Divas, Stampin’ Up!, and Stamp It Australia but you can use your favorite Inspirational quotes or type up your favorites on the computer and cut and adhere them to your book. I\u2019ve also attached pretty ribbon in brown and blue to a couple of my smaller tags.<\/p>\n

\"Photo<\/a><\/p>\n

Using your paper-piercer\u00a0or craft pick to create the holes,\u00a0attach brads and metal embellishments to \u201clock-in\u201d your 3\u201dx 5\u201d pullout panels throughout your accordion booklet. You can see this more clearly in the video which shows the\u00a0flip-through.<\/p>\n

\"Photo<\/a><\/p>\n

Wrap the raffia around your front panel and adhere the feather embellishments and vintage buttons using the Zig 2 Way or glue of your choice. Adhere the front panel to the front of the accordion booklet using the 2.5\u201d Scor-Tape.<\/p>\n

\"Photo<\/a><\/p>\n

Adhere the back panel with the \u201cAbigail In Goggles & Hat \u201d stamped image to the back cover using the 2.5\u201d Scor-Tape.<\/p>\n

\"Photo<\/a><\/p>\n

Cut a 1.5\u201d piece of tan cardstock and emboss with a wood grain embossing folder (Crafter\u2019s Companion embossing folder used here). Ink the raised impressions with the Vintage Photo Distress Ink.<\/p>\n

\"Photo<\/a><\/p>\n

Attach the wood grain embossed piece to the backside of the front cover by adhering with a piece of the Scor-Tape. This will now be wrapped around the book and adhered to the front panel with velcro pieces.<\/p>\n

\"Photo<\/a><\/p>\n

Stamp the \u201cA Little Birdie Told Me\u201d Sentiment onto white cardstock with the Jet Black Archival Ink. Cut your sentiments into individual words, ink over with Tea Dye Distress Ink, and edge with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Adhere to your front cover panel.<\/p>\n

And there we have it\u2026 a vintage inspirational quote accordion booklet! I\u2019ve done my very first video to show you the booklet in full, rather than load you with more photos. :o) I hope you like it.<\/p>\n
