Hi Everyone! It’s Nadya<\/a> here today. I am so excited to share what I did with my Joggle Collage Sheets, and am so happy to be back with both new & older supplies! I enjoyed working with the Joggles\u00a0Wonky Wood Houses so much last month, that I decided to use one again, along with some of the
\nJoggles Collage Sheets.<\/p>\n

\nDylusions 9×12″ Stencil – Number Jumble [DYS33998]<\/a>
\nDylusions Ink Spray – Bubblegum Pink<\/a>
\nDylusions Ink Spray – Lemon Zest<\/a>
\nDina Wakley Media Brush – 1\/2″ Flat<\/a><\/p>\n

Other supplies:<\/strong> white cardstock, inkjet printer, scissors, 6B drawing pencil, punchinella or<\/strong> Joggles Punchinella Trio 1 stencil<\/a>, ephemera\u00a0(book paper, tissue paper, baggage tag etc.), wet wipes.<\/p>\n

Here is my process:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"nadyaphoto1\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I really like the Joggles Wonky Wood House #2 because of its size & shape so I decided to cover it with my standard stash of ephemera which I use to start canvases, or in this case, to cover the bare wood. I used\u00a0very thin paper from a dictionary and aged text paper from an old book. I then chose some tissue\u00a0paper and sewing pattern paper. I like to keep suitcase tags from my travels and quite often you can\u00a0peel the tag apart and still use it as a sticker.<\/p>\n

\"nadyaphoto2\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Using my Dina Wakley Media 1\/2 inch flat Brush, I applied Liquitex Matte Medium over the\u00a0house, randomly gluing the paper down & covering the entire house (except the bottom).<\/p>\n

\"nadyaphoto3\"<\/a><\/p>\n

After the house was completely dry, \u00a0I chose 4 Caran D’Arche Neocolor II Pastels (Yellow, Orange, Cobalt Blue, and Violet Purple) and began to\u00a0scribble in large blocks of colour all over the background. \u00a0Adding water and using both the brush & my\u00a0fingers, I blended the colours. I really love the look of Caran D’Arche Neocolor II Pastels and while\u00a0working with the wet paper, I incorporated gesso using it like paint, blending it\u00a0in while the paper was still wet to create a wonderful watercolour effect.<\/p>\n

\"nadyaphoto4\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I played with the blending and adding colour with the Neocolor II Pastels until I was satisfied with the outcome. Then I placed the punchinella down on the house and gently rubbed over the holes with a wet wipe which lifted the colour I had laid down and created cool\u00a0little stencil-like circles. The same thing could be accomplished using Joggles Punchinella Trio 1 stencil. After it had dried, I scribbled on some of the sides with a thicker drawing pencil.<\/p>\n

\"nadyaphoto5\"<\/a><\/p>\n

On the opposite side of the house, I spritzed\u00a0Bubblegum Pink & Lemon Zest Dylusions Ink Sprays\u00a0through the Dylusions 9×12″ Stencil – Number Jumble.<\/p>\n

The stencil itself was still covered\u00a0with the ink that did not go through the openings onto the wood. Do not get rid of this!!! I used the stencil as a
\npalette & with my finger, I used up the ink by applying it to different parts of the house.<\/p>\n

\"nadyaphoto8\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I cut out the image of the mother & child from the Joggles Collage Sheets – Kate Greenway\u00a0Characters I and decided to use a fitting Maya Angelou quote. I printed out the phrase & cut out\u00a0each word separately. I then choose some other collage images that I thought would coordinate. I really\u00a0liked the bright contrast of the background with the softer colours of the collage and didn\u2019t want\u00a0to over do it.<\/p>\n

\"nadyaphoto9\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Using Liquitex Matte Medium, I gently applied the collage images and phrase to the house.\u00a0Remember that the Dylusions sprays are water activated, so the water content in the matte\u00a0medium can reactivate the ink.<\/p>\n

After the words were completely dry, I outlined each word. Once again i let it completely dry and then\u00a0coated the house with a final layer of matte medium to seal everything.\u00a0Thank you for visiting today.
