I have long been fascinated by Alcohol Inks. Brilliant, intense colors made for non-porous surfaces that can also be used in other ways. I filmed a very basic video about them a while ago and had a lot of fun in the process.<\/p>\n
As it turns out, I didn’t know what fun was till I combined Alcohol Inks with Yupo Paper. Not only is it fun, it’s BIG fun.<\/p>\n
Drop Ranger’s Alcohol Ink on Yupo and watch the drop bloom. Some colors bloom a different color aura, which is amazing to watch.<\/p>\n
Mix pink and green and you get mud, right? Not with Alcohol Inks. You can overlap colors like pink and green and see layers form. The “Lights” version of the Inks have super powers – they move existing drops, pushing them around and causing them to spread.<\/p>\n
I’ve made Ranger’s Alcohol Ink color chart available so you can download and use it as a guide to lay out your Yupo color chart. Mine used a Sharpie to draw blocks on the Yupo, then I labeled each block using a PITT Pen.
