After waiting… and waiting some more, I’m thrilled to tell you that we have Dina Wakley’s Fine Tip Applicators in stock. They’re the focus of this week’s MidWeek Muse video, along with the three metallic colors of her Media Paint that were released at CHA earlier this year. In the video I’ll demo the basics of how the applicators work and show you some interesting techniques for them as well as some fun options for the metallic paint.<\/p>\n
Who would have thought that something so simple as these applicators could provide such interesting and unusual results?<\/p>\n
With that said, they’re going to be a staple in my studio. I’m convinced, after using them in the video and on other projects, that there’s a permanent place for them among the tools I use frequently.<\/p>\n
As for the metallic paints, what’s not to like? At full strength, straight from the tube and with an applicator tip applied, they’re a fantastic way to add metallic shimmer and dimension. Add a little water to create a wash and you’ve got another way to use them.<\/p>\n
