Welcome to Wednesday and our newest MidWeek Muse video where I’m making things pretty, working with IndigoBlu’s Mega Gilding Flakes and Flitter Glue.

Did you know that gilding is quite easy? And that most any surface looks fabulous when gilded? And that there are many techniques you can use with the glue and gilding, including with stencils, which you’ll see me demo. And that, perhaps the most exciting of all, that you can use Flitter Glue with rubber stamps to make a gilded stamped image?

Well, you can!

Not only that, but you can apply Flitter Glue to all kinds of things, which means you can gild all kinds of things. At one point in the video you’ll see me hold up a small branch I snapped off of the crepe myrtle bush in our yard and it too has been gilded. I’ll also show you a wooden finial that’s been gilded. One of these days you’ll see that appear in another project as I have ideas for it.
