Alcohol Inks are not just for Yupo!
In today’s video you’ll see that there are other surfaces to be explored; mirrored sheets, vellum, and glossy cardstock. Each offers interesting options and you’ll see that the inks are reasonably predictable on them, with the key word being “reasonably”. Half of the fun in working with them is not knowing exactly what to expect.
You can use PITT pens and the Sharpie water based markers on these surfaces too. If you like to doodle and embellish the ink drops you can work the same as you would on Yupo, using your usual favorites. There’s a lot to try, so keep an open mind and experiment!
Supplies For This Video:
Sharpie Water Based Paint Pens
Ranger Rectangular Ink Blending Tool
Ranger Glossy Cardstock

Another informative video! Thank you for all that you do.
Wishing you all the best in the New Year!
Loved the change of “paper” pace with the use of vellum with alcohol inks. Never thought I would see more alternatives with them. I’ve played by the hour with other options but never thought of using vellum. So I’m delighted to see how well it works. Thanks Barb for this fun ink demo. I always look forward to my Wednesfay coffee with your tutorials!!
Dottie is right – Wednesday, coffee and Joggles, it doesn’t get any better. I love alcohol inks, am always playing with them. Love getting new ideas and inspirations.
Great Video as I’ve always said before Barb I look forward to Wednesday Video with you. I also have to congratulate you on not getting tongue tied today lol. Love the great ideas you offer on different mediums and using a multiple of different products. Thumbs up yet again. I would also like to take this opportunity to wish you Happy Holidays and hope you and yours have a wonderful New Year.
I love this process with alcohol inks – and your video was awesome, as always! My favorite background was with the glossy paper! Thanks for sharing!
