Today I have a festive holiday project themed video; glittered ornaments. Not just any glitter, I’m using Tim Holtz’s lovely Vintage Platinum Glitter Dust, which I think is perfect for the holidays. It’s very fine and a blend of several colors and when I look at it Christmas immediately comes to mind.
The ornaments I’m covering with the Glitter Dust are simple paper mache stars, 2″ and 3″, plus some fabulous pinecone paper boxes from Martha Stewart, and intricately cut snowflake shapes. You’d think those complex cutouts would present a challenge to get adhesive on, but as you’ll see in the video, it’s really pretty simple. You’ll also see me use some of our 1″ chipboard stars to glitter, using the same technique to get the adhesive on the face of them. Once you do, it’s and easy as pie to either dunk the piece in a puddle of glitter or pour it over the shape.
Those chipboard stars kick off a new promotion, a short one, that begins today and will end this Friday, the 27th, at 11:59 pm ET. Any order you submit will receive a package of 5 chipboard stars so you can try the adhesive glitter technique. It’s that simple – you do not need to do anything – we’ll include them in with the rest of your goodies.
