Today I’m combining paints with very different characteristics and finishes to create a bit of magic.  When really shiny or sparkly color is partly blended with something that dries to a really matte finish all kinds of interesting contrast is created, making a feast for your eyes.

My current experiments revolve around PaprtArtsy Fresco Finish Paint , which dries to a very matte finish and two from DecoArt: Extreme Sheen and Galaxy Glitter.  Extreme Sheen creates a very shiny, metallic-like finish.  Galaxy Glitter is large particles of glitter suspended in a clear base.  That clear base allows for some very interesting patterns and effects.
