That was lots of fun! Love your sneakers!
This video was very inspiring. Twenty-two years ago, I used a product called “Magic Dip” that looks very similar to this paint (probably still have it in storage somewhere, haha). Sold my magic dip sneakers in a craft store, did pretty well.
I am pretty excited to try this paint (again). If it does work like the video shows, I know from past experience the possibilities are endless.
My mom got something like this when I was a kid – worked the same way – just drops of paint onto water and dip things in! I’ve been looking for a marbling product for years that worked this way!!! Finally – this looks like it is IT! Thanks for sharing all the various things you can use it on. I’m definitely gonna have to get some and try it!
Wow! I thought I could resist this stuff till I saw the video, but noooo. I don’t think I can get it fast enough now!
And Cat… you have a lovely voice.
Loved the video — and all the possibilities. I especially liked that you showed the items you didn’t love as well. Good to see that some things have to be manipulated first. Fun ideas.
WOW! Joggles has QUICKLY become my go to store! This marbling is SO much better than alcohol inks! Buying the whole group! I have Full set syndrome and these are a STEAL at 50% off!!!! Question…. are the colors watersafe? Like your sneakers? Do they rub/stain your socks?
Wowza!!! The possibilities are endless, time for new sneakers! Thanks for inspiring!
Just wondering if you can mix colors before putting them into the water? Have you tried it yet?
Thanks
I think your sneakers are my favorite of everything I’ve seen! Thanks for the tip to put gesso on the board. Do you think you would do that for wood also? Very cool video.
